Balancing the tone, in favour of the light, has been one of my main objectives. Between the tone and the colour; the drawing and its arrangement, these oil paintings attempt to trap the appearance of something seen. Portraits, interiors and still life paintings make up the majority of the subjects. The return refers to both the necessity of reworking and looking again at an image, and that this is the second solo exhibition at 286.
Moving away is only to the boundaries
of the self. Better to stay here,
