Margot Cox
A graduate of St Martin’s School of Art with an extensive career in design, art direction and teaching behind her, Margot now devotes all her energies to her personal work.

Exploring the formal language of figurative drawings incorporating volume, light and space. she creates an emotional landscape, using external reality as her subject matter. Interpreting colour, shape and form with an expressive freedom of line, she bridges the gap between representation and abstraction.

In this exhibition, along with conventionally framed paintings and drawings, Margot will be exhibiting long, frieze-like drawings, on scrolls of paper backed with canvas. These works, created during animated life-drawing sessions superbly illustrate Margot’s fluency of line and her empathy with the human figure in motion.
